Peddling for Telford Foodbank

Just over 900 miles – Land’s End to John O’Groats, without leaving Woodside!

But we couldn’t have done it without some serious legwork from the volunteers who came along to pedal – 25 people in total.  Some managed a few miles while others were in it for the long haul.  Didn’t matter how many miles folks did, it was all going towards the total and less for Centre staff to do (for which we were very grateful).

Thanks must go to Telford and Wrekin Council Leisure Services for the loan of 3 exercise bikes, and to individuals who loaned their own exercise bikes, trainer stands and bikes.  Thanks to Bourneville Village Trust for funding refreshments for the cyclists and to Bellway Homes for the donation of a food hamper.

Sponsor money is still coming in and we are expecting food donations from Telford and Wrekin Council buildings next week. Check out the news link on the righthand side of the front page to see our final totals.

Meanwhile, here are some images of the day.
